“i wanna be a forest / anonymously free / i wanna grow my flowers where nobody ever sees”

“tiny shiny beautiful” is a six-song tapestry inspired by the feeling of seeing earth in a new light by Melbourne pop artist, composer, multi-intrumentalist and producer Ivoris.

On the creation of the EP, Ivoris shared these words:

“When I was writing “tiny shiny beautiful”, I found myself lost in a small corner of the internet, reading stories of astronauts who had been on NASA missions. These astronauts were suspended in space, surrounded by the most breathtaking sights but they couldn’t take their eyes off earth. They were in awe of how small and beautiful our planet is, and seeing earth from afar made them appreciate our tiny home in a new way. Something about this really struck a chord with me. This EP is about falling in love with my home and taking a bird’s eye perspective of my surroundings. In the past year I’ve travelled for music more than I ever have before, and in this time I’ve found myself more appreciative of the beauty and love in my home.”

“tiny shiny beautiful” also explores themes of nostalgia, euphoria and self-discovery. There’s a breadth of sound on the EP, drawing upon a broad palette of 2000s music, lullabies, bedroom pop and bass-heavy, hard-hitting production.

tiny shiny beautiful’ is out now on all major streaming platforms.
