The LIMINAL Fiction Prize Shortlist
ANNOUNCING THE 2019 LIMINAL FICTION PRIZE Shortlist
The LIMINAL Fiction Prize is a new literary prize for Australian Writers of Colour. With an inaugural theme of ‘the future’, we sought fiction of a new world: not the stuff of flying cars or robots, but a future that pulls against or weaves together Australia’s many fabricated histories.
With over 130 entries from writers of colour, our readers had the enormously difficult task of creating our longlist of sixteen writers for the LIMINAL Fiction Prize. Today, we announce our shortlist, as our judges, Brian Castro, Julie Koh and Evelyn Araluen are reading for our inaugural winner.
