LIMINAL invites applications for our autumn Writing Workshop, supported by UMSU People of Colour Department.

Throughout our time in Australian literary spaces, Liminal staff have rarely had the opportunity to discuss writing and to get feedback on work in spaces that are not, by default, White. It has become clear to us that one of the most helpful things for emerging writers of colour is to find one another.

Led by writer and editor Adalya Nash Hussein, this group of 10-12 writers will work (with exciting guests!) through readings and exercises, as well as workshopping one another's work.

At the end of the group, we will have an informal picnic to celebrate and read our work. Workshops will be held at the University of Melbourne, and will run from 4–5:30, 90 minutes on Tuesday afternoons starting March 3 and ending March 31.

This workshop is made possible by the support of the UMSU People of Colour Department. University of Melbourne students, students from other universities and those not enrolled in tertiary education are all encouraged to apply.

Applications are due February 23, and will be responded to by February 27.
